Is the Free plan really free forever?
Yes. Up to 15 active sites and 5 crew, with every feature, free for as long as you want, with no credit card. It never expires. It exists so crews of up to 5 operators can run their whole business on Icey.
Can I try Icey before paying?
Yes. Your first month free, every feature, no card. Every new company gets up to 50 active sites and 10 crew for its first 30 days. After that, Free stays free up to 15 active sites, or pick a plan by your site count. Nothing is deleted, and sites and crew over the Free plan's limits keep working; you just can't add new ones until you're under them or on a paid plan. Choose a monthly plan at least three days before the free month ends and your first charge waits until it's over.
How does the price work?
By your active sites — the sites you are servicing this season. Up to 15 is free. After that, a month costs (CAD): 16–35 active sites $79, 36–50 $119, 51–100 $179, 101–200 $279, 201–300 $379. Above 300, add $99 for each extra 100 sites. One price for the whole company: every driver and every feature is included.
What counts as an active site?
Sites you are servicing this season. Sites that are not active (not signed this season, or from past seasons) and sample data do not count, and clients are unlimited on every plan.
Is there a per-driver fee?
No. Every paid plan includes unlimited crew, so every driver and every sub can be on the app with GPS, timers and photos. The Free plan includes 5. Admin and office users are unlimited on every plan.
What happens when I sign more sites mid-season?
Nothing is switched off and nothing is charged mid-month. Your price follows your active sites at each monthly bill, up or down, and Icey tells you before the bill changes.
Can I drop to Free for the summer?
Yes. Cancel with Manage Subscription and it ends when the month you paid for ends. Nothing is deleted, and you can pick it back up in the fall.
Are prices in Canadian dollars?
Prices are in CAD. Companies in the United States pay the USD prices shown on this page.
What is the 60-day guarantee?
If Icey is not earning its keep within 60 days of your first payment, tell us and we refund it. We would rather have the feedback than the money.
Do paid plans unlock features the Free plan doesn’t have?
No. Every plan has the same features — quotes and e-sign, the storm board and route optimization, Field Mode, salt logs, site reports and invoicing. Paid plans add sites, unlimited crew and remove the “Powered by Icey” footer from your customer web pages. What is Icey Software covers everything it does.
Does Icey connect to QuickBooks?
Icey exports invoices as a CSV file in the format QuickBooks imports. There is no direct sync — you import the file into QuickBooks yourself.
How do my clients pay me?
However they pay you today. Payments are recorded by hand: you mark an invoice paid in Icey when the money arrives. Card payments are not built in.
Can you load my customer list for me?
Yes. Email your customer list (a spreadsheet) to info@iceysoftware.com and we'll load it before your first storm. If you'd rather do it yourself, the Import page brings in a spreadsheet of clients, sites and contracts.
